As we approach the celebrations of Europe Day on 9th May, EROVET + promotion activities continue in full swing in Turkey. The last of the comprehensive studies were carried out by EROVET + Turkish partner Ortaköy 80.Yıl MTAL in Mamak district last week. One of the main themes of the last of the VETFest (www.vetfestproject.eu) project activities carried out in partnership with Mamak District Directorate of National Education and Ortaköy 80th Year Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School was job and internship opportunities in Europe. Since www.erovet.eu is one of the most important platforms that come to mind when it comes to talk about job and internship opportunities in Europe, one of the most important topics of the regional introduction meeting was the EROVET + project.

The European Parliament, the Council and the Commission proclaimed the European Pillar of Social Rights in 2017. It consists of twenty principles that have guided us ever since towards a strong Social Europe. They express principles and rights essential for fair and well-functioning labour markets and welfare systems.

Why does the Action Plan set EU level targets?

The Commission proposes three headline targets for the EU, to be reached by 2030, on employment, skills, and social protection, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

One of the most important platforms for the functioning of such priorities for the free movement of capital and workforce in Europe is EURES. For this purpose, a part of the introductory meeting is reserved for the use of EURES. Network structures such as EROVET +, which will meet an important need today, also make a very important contribution to the formations such as EURES in the field of Vocational Education. Particular attention of the participants focused on the Job Pool at the introductory meeting, in which approximately 130 students, parents, teachers and administrators from almost 30 VET / Adult providers in Mamak district. Even working in Europe and setting up their careers in a European company was enough to excite the students and their families.

 The main topics of the INFO Day on 28th, April was;

• Information Campaign Erasmus, aiming to motivate regional schools to be more active in ERASMUS based initiatives,
• Searching ob in the EU, Europass tools presentations, EURES, and EROVET+ Job Pool,
• Networking all over Europe, including EROVET+ portal

Similar Info days held 4 times this year starting from the EU Skills Week Celebration on 13th November, 2021. EROVET was introduced to the VET Schools in the region in each time and met with a deep interest. INFO Days faced a special interest in the national press, also.
